Customer Care Representatives give advice on destinations and make arrangements for transportation, hotel accommodations, car rentals, tours, and recreation. They may advise on weather conditions, restaurants, and tourist attractions, and recreation. For international travel, CCRs also provide information on customs regulations, required papers (passports, visas, and certificates of vaccination), and currency exchange rates. CCRs must have a positive attitude and a sincere desire to help people. Patience and the ability to gain the confidence of clients are also useful qualities. CCRs must be well organized, accurate, and meticulous to compile information from various sources and plan and organize their clients’ travel itineraries.

Candidates for the CCR position must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and MUST be able to work evenings AND weekends. Typing and computer skills are preferred. Previous experience in front-line customer service and/or sales is desirable. This job requires a person to sit for extended periods of time and answer phone calls, while using a computer. At times, the job can be quite stressful.
